Commission process

  • Draft - quick sketches while discussing the commission to reach mutual understanding what the end result should look like.

  • Sketch - more detailed version of draft.

  • Lineart - looks like a cleaned up version of sketch phase. I do not do separate layer for it unless the art style asks for it.

  • Base colour - solid colour placement.

  • Rendering - shadows, textures, highlights.

Payment & refunds

  • I will only start the commission after deposit is paid. Half of the commission fee has to be paid after sketch phase and the rest of it has to be paid after the commission is finished.

  • If a client needs to cancel a commission and no work has been done on it, full deposit refund is available.

  • If I have already started to work on the commission, only partial refund is given depending on the commission's progress stage.

Extra

  • If commission has a deadline for less than 2 weeks, extra payment is required.

  • The client will be sent WIPs (work in progress) during the commission's progress. Changes are available only in sketch and base colour phases. If a client wants any big changes during rendering phase and/or further on, it will require additional payment (the client will be informed before changes are made).

  • If a client plans to use the commission for any other than personal use, it has to be disclosed before commission starts.

  • If a client doesn’t respond to WIP update, the commission is not going to be continued until a response is received.

  • If WIP update is not acknowledged in 6 months, the commission will be cancelled with no refund.

  • I do not do commissions for AI purposes. That includes:

  • a. Feeding my art to AI for it to learn.

  • b. Commissioning a sketch from me and finishing it with AI.
